Whack 5: Best Performance Aye?

The Greatest Idol Performance night proved to be dismaying. Here's a recap of tonight's episode. Daryl Celis sang The Promise and proved that he's worthy to be in the top five. His performance is plain and smooth but it lacked the intensity. Taking on Fantasia's broadway hit I'm Here is our worster, Gretchen Espina who even cried right after her performance. She murdered the song. She even asked for the arrangement to be lowered 'cause she simply can't reach the notes. It was boring, a mess in the middle part and ended quite okay. But her notes are all over the place! Kid Camaya was the third to perform. Despite his being paos tonight, he made the best out of it. He had a great performance except for the slightly-sablay falsettos (since paos nga sya). All in all, it was the best performance of the night. He sang Careless Whisper and he did pretty well given his condition. Jayann was dismaying this night. Her intro had sharps and flats. Her mid-part was bo...

Warren Bye Bye; Say Hello to Gretchen

As you all know, GMA 7 and Pinoy Idol postponed the "shocking elimination" twist which allegedly was to eliminate three Idols. But we were left with five singers. And Warren Antig , our worster, was sent home packing. This week, we are putting all our efforts to vote for the princess of Biliran and make her daddy proud! Say hello to Gretchen Espina , our returning Lagpaker.

WHACK 6: Kid is Idol; Warren is Horror

It is almost official now that three would be going home tomorrow. I had the chance to be in the taping earlier and here's the recap ranking: 1. Kid Camaya (by a mile) 2. Ram Chaves 3. Gretchen Espina 4. Jayann Bautista 5. Daryl Celis 6. Warren Antig Warren f*cked up the song. Kid did the best performance ever. Jayann didn't deliver as expected and Ram acted up. This night is nice because of Basil Valdez. But he's a lame judge too. My fearless forecast for the Top 3. Ram, Gretchen and Kid Deserves to be in the top three: Kid, Jayann Vote for the Worst Pinoy still supports WARREN ANTIG to the FINAL 3 :-)

SPOILER

This is not confirmed yet. But... PINOY IDOL will be eliminating three contestants next week. The top three Idols will battle it out for three weeks but no one will be eliminated. By Finale, the person with the most votes wins.

Whack 7: The Diva's Gone: Penelope Buh-bye.

Bye Penelope ! Thanks for giving Warren another week to stay in the competition. Warren and Kid joined her in the bottom 3. -- Next week, the Top 6 namely: Kid Camaya, Gretchen Espina, Jayann Bautista, Ram Chaves, Warren Antig and Daryl Celis will be mentored by Basil Valdez. -- There will be a BIG twist daw. And its very predictable that two will be eliminated next week and one loser will be going back :)

Whack 7: Dis-banded!

Here I go again, on bashing mode. Thank God, this time Pinoy Idol managed to give us a recap of the Top Whack-o 7. Let's bash, shall we? The judges were a bit okay tonight. Raymond is an eyesore. Karylle f*cked up. The bands looked like fangirls supporting the Idols murdering their original songs. And a bunch of so-so singers wanting to be the next Jonalyn Viray! Better Performers Jayann Bautista . Akin Ka Na Lang. She will be the Pinoy Idol and GMA's pawn against their flop Pinoy Pop Superstar "grand" champion Mariciris. Anyhoo, Jayann's better and has been versatile enough. I am so excited to see her doing a Phuong Vy on Asian Idol 2008. Kid Camaya. Stay. I am a bit shocked that it's going to be Cueshe' that he's performing tonight. I hate the band. I hate the song. Maybe because its vocalist is much more of a percussionist than a vocal genius. But Kid made me like the song, he made it his own. At the peak of the song, it was very moving, it felt cl...
